CAPE TOWN - The head of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) on Thursday blamed two individuals for stalling its investigation into upgrades at President Jacob Zuma's expansive Nkandla residence.
The estate has been at the centre of controversy for years and outrage has grown after it emerged that more than R240-million was spent on renovating Zuma's private residence.
Government officials have put the costs down to vital security features due to the president but an investigation by Public Protector Thuli Madonsela blamed Zuma for not keeping a handle on the millions spent on his home.
