CAPE TOWN – Two people have been killed and more than 60 others have been displaced in shack fires across Cape Town this weekend.
In the latest incident, a 21-year-old man was killed in a blaze in Milnerton this morning.
Fires also occurred in Scottsdene, Gugulethu, Nyanga and Elsies River.
Disaster Risk Management's Wilfred Solomons-Johannes says, “Our disaster teams have been deployed to all these areas across the Cape Peninsula to render the necessary assistance.”
